Rashad & Confidence - The Element of Surprise [2011]

Photobucket

The Element of Surprise was just released on November 29th and it's already being considered a classic. This is easily the best hip-hop album I've heard in a very long time, every track is dope. One word to describe this album, masterpiece! Those jazz samples are soooo dope. This up-and-coming MC/producer duo, hailing from Brooklyn and Philly, merged to create a record with a timeless sound reminiscent of hip-hop's golden era but with a fresh, updated feel. With no guest appearances or other producers involved, Rashad & Confidence embody the sound real hip-hop heads yearn to hear, going back to the times of Gang Starr and Pete Rock & C.L. Smooth. If you love real authentic hip-hop than I suggest you give this album a listen, I've already listened to it probably about 10 times. And it's a very rare these days when I love every single track on an album. Also another reason why I love this album is because there's 1 producer, 1 emcee, & no guest appearances, the way it should be.
